Blue smoke

If u have blue smoke does that mean that you need some new glow plugs

when does it smoke? at first start up. or all the time?

your injector O-Rings are leaking some. Common problem on 7.3's. New injector O-rings will fix it, although a little blue smoke won't hurt anything. Alot may be an issue.

yeah thats what I thought kids at my school were telling me I need new piston rings, idiots. thanx

If it were a gasses then it might very well be piston rings... Diesels are a whole nother beast

check the fuel bowl and see if there is oil in it.
