Alright guys I have my spare IDM, resistor (thanks Scott!), soldering iron and the cover off. My IDM doesn't look the same as the IDM in this link IDM Mod

Thanks Scott. So no matter where its at or which IDM you working on its the resistor that says 6042 on it. Nice of them to label it for us! Going to Radio shack in the morning.
HMMMMM. Wonder what kind of voltage I would see it I left out the resistor and just put a piece of wiring in there...... Think it would run for more the 2 seconds....(joking!) lol

Of course... Now you have me wondering what would happen if the voltage is over 140... Like 180, 220!!! bad things I would imagine... but what exactly?
