Well fellas, she's done. Engine threw a rod this weekend.

Edit: I'm not putting anything up for sale yet. Need to figure out what I'm doing first.

It was a long day folks. It was raining/sleeting. I hooked up a strap and towed him to an off ramp. I could find no car hauler for him so I drove almost all the way to Nashville to find a UHaul that was open. I backed up to a tow dolly and realized that was not going to work with his big tires.
I didn't want him to be stranded while his buddy was enroute from MO, so I told dude I was towing a 6 cylinder F150 as I had slipped and mentioned my buddies truck broke down. Well he told me that was oversized, I signed a waiver and off I went with a TOW DOLLY . That's right.
We put his spare and my spare on the front and got it on there with some bit of difficulty. In the end I ended up putting the truck in 4wd and ramming the dolly under his truck. It was that tight. We dropped the driveshaft and off we went. It did not ride very well. Max I could do was 45-50 and it would sway all over the road. Took him to the Flying J in KY where we swapped tires and waited for his friend Jeff to come with the trailer. The day just sucked.
Here we are on the way home on I40 at the I81 split, Brandon in front and Jeremy behind him:

Ive been thinking about this all day. Im sure you were too busy and had too much stuff going on to call me (or the lack thereof, sleep) but this is an eye opener as to people who are at this power level. I knew there are other reasons at the time for the engine to blow in other people's trucks, however in this case, there's nothing in the clear yet. Call me tomorrow if you get time.

So, many hours later we arrived at the Flying J in KY. Swapped tires and waited for his buddy in a Dodge to haul it home. Little did we know that it would ride no better on that trailer. We parted ways sometime after midnight and I know I was tired so I bet he was whooped by the time he got home. Sorry for the quality but it was dark. I would just as soon forget that day.
