Ok so i got the dash bracket installed and was excited to go test it over some road bumps but when i tried to start it, it wouldnt. THe fuel switch works cause it measures the fuel in each tank but when i turn the key it doesnt make the sound of the fuel pump working. Any ideas on what i could have damaged??
Yea i my guess was the switch too i just didnt know were it was, its all fixed now. I followed the directions to keep me from breaking things so i removed both kick panels, all the screws to the dash. Top ones, loosen some by e- brake, and one under passenger side. Pull dash back gently, and put a 2x4 to keep it in place. I didnt want to risk braking dash parts so i removed my door to get into the area. Went ahead and replaced door hinges that were sagging real bad. THe pins and bushings i mean. It doesnt take long if you know your way around a truck, i imagine if its your first time you may struggle some with the bracket. I also had to buy a rivet tool so the repair cost me quiet a bit but it was so worth it, it worked perfectly. I have the instructions at hand so if anyone needs anything il be glad to help!
I guess it varies with each situation, i was needing to repair my door hinges too so i went ahead and did that too. It acctualy didnt take very long at all. it sounds like alot of work but its not.
