this really is a simple thing to fix.

once you get it apart it is pretty obvious how to use screen/epoxy.

good luck.

all u need is a small piece of aluminum

i bent it on a 90 degree angle, put 2 holes in it and bolted it onto the original hole and a screw into the dash

it works amazingly if thats a word

I'm glad you found one! Post back with the part number. I think it would help others.

I would definitely use the rivets, since small screws would likely pull through the thin plastic and strip out. Also, it looks like screws with washers or small bolts would not clear when putting the dash back into position.

Be sure to smooth off the remaining broken plastic so that the bracket will sit correctly. You can use a dremel, file, or sand paper. Or a combination of those.

You can also do what crestfallenman suggested. Several people have done that. It works well.

The part number is f4tz-1504366-a someone else posted it earlier. I probably could get it fixed without the bracket but i need detailed instructions and atleast the bracket comes with those. Il post pics as soon as i go out nad buy the bracket.

I ordered one. Comes right to my house. Do not have to spend time on the phone with a bunch of dealerships, do not have to try to get to the dealership that has it in rush hour traffic since there parts departments have bankers hours and I work 9 hour days. I know everbody does not like to pay for shipping. How much is driving around (cheapsest gas currently 3.51 gallon) and your time that could be better spent consuming cold beverages or hunting for parts at Carlisle worth?
