to buy anything other than a shingled shoebox is insane!! i could sell our place here for over double what we paid for it... haven't put a cent into it.
The missus and I looked at a show home today just south of us in Regina. It was a 1700 sqft two story with double attached garage, nothing to special. It came with a $515,900 price tag!!!!
I think we will wait and see what happens in the next couple of years, the prices can't keep on like this forever!
For our land out here it at least tripled in value since we bought it. When we build a house, a shop and do some landscaping, we could probably sell it for around a million dollars. Its crazy!
I dunno if this trend will keep up or not, but with industry getting better and better around saskatchewan, I cant see it going down anytime really soon.
so you're finally seeing it eh?? just got word on friday that some guy from BC just bought 250 acres on the edge of town and is planning a subdivision of 1 acre estates... should be quite the developement if it goes ahead...
Same here we bought in 2005 nothing fancy nice big backyard bungalow with extensive renovations before we bought it we upgraded some things but not a lot today we could get over 200,000 more than what we paid for it!! and it has no garage

Yeah ever since break up I have noticed alot more going on around here. I must have just been missing it cause I was never home.
I also dont know how many people have told me there was tons of excavating work out there. Everyone out here that I have mentioned i have a backhoe tells me Ill be rich in no time lol.
me too. right now our property is in one of the most wanted areas. slightly out of town, quiet, and immediate access to trails and bush. i sure wasn't too excited about having to spent 250g's on a new house so this one will do just fine!!
Today I got some kind of an older mid sized dodge for a loaner car while waiting for an oil change and getting the check engine light looked at.
At first it wasn`t bad but after a little driving around town the road noise was got to me and it was great to be back in our Ranger!
