Hey Dustin, I actually disagree with you about wikipedia. Its a fairly accurate website. I used to always double check the info off of there, and rarely found inaccuracies.
They arent perfect however, and probably make some mistakes, just like any other site.
Wanna fight about prep haha jk buddy i dont know thats what my teacher at school said anyone can post anything on there and it many not be true or right so beats me man!!
You are allowed to adjust the seats in a Focus, you know In my 01 you can tilt the seat back to suit your taste, and also there's a crank under the seat to raise the driver's seat up and down to suit your preference.
Still mostly happy with my Focus at 181k km, almost sad to see it go and get an Excursion. My biggest complaint right now is the rust showing up this winter, bottoms of driver side doors and around 3rd brake light, but that's an Ontario winter driven car for ya.
Have you had alot of problems with your focus Chad? I had a buddy that I went to some classes with a few years ago with a 2001, and that thing was terrible. It was breaking down every second day.
First was EGR valve sensor, then came front coil springs, ignition cylinder locked, fuel pump failure (on the Trans-Canada between Kenora and Winnipeg ) AC leak. Current problems - broken exhaust hanger, AC again, and probably needs a rad this spring, unless it's a leaky hose, but I haven't been able to find the coolant leak yet.
To Ford's credit, at least when a part gets replaced, it's an upgraded design. You're not replacing a crappy part with a crappy part.
The problem with buying one for me, is the reliability issue. Ford has been known to have reliability, and longevity issues with the smaller cars,a nd for right now that would scare me away.
Civic has been around along time and is tried tested and true, no matter if your a fan of them or not!
That sucks your broke down on the trans canada, that wouldnt be fun.
Worst part was we needed to rent a car for a week to finish our vacation. We got the last car available at the rental place in Winnipeg. We did actually manage to get the car into Winnipeg, the fuel pump died a slow death, nursed it into town doing 90 km/hr with a tailwind.
