The best I have ever seen with our focus is 40mpg, I would have to say It averages 36-38 on the highway. As for power it's not bad for a auto, I have noticed it goes better if you turn the traction contol off and keep the revs up !!
its not fair, i cant have a small car with a stick, even with an auto its dangerous.....i just always get the urge to drive it like a racecar. you wanna hear something stupid? try giving a 17 yr old with less than a years driving experience a honda civic 5spd for a week as a courtesy car. we are not talking bone stock here either, it had exhaust, cold air and some sort of a chip. civic go much faster than ranger. civic come back to shop with bald tires and non functioning E brake. and ever since then, every time i get in a small car i make big vroom.....tis very sad, looks like ill be stuck driving trucks forever.....
If you had to drive a truck for the rest of your life Joe, that wouldnt be a bad thing lol.
I remember wreckhaul awhile back posting something about a mazda that could really hold the revs too. He called it the poor mans ferarri, or something like that lol.
No sherm 450 km on both tanks but the last tank was still at half so i wasnt done plus like i said there was idle time mixed driving gunnin it then grandpa driving it and I had my weight in the back most of the time so i know i could do better just dont know how much more possibly 500km on both tanks together both tanks run dry
if you're only getting 450-500 on 2 tanks, there's no bragging rights there!!!
Might not be for you but for me it sure is i wasnt really bragging about it lol in my opinion i just think thats pretty good... but like i said i dont know how long i could of went you gotta think its a big motor and a heavy vehicle you cant get good mpgs in town with a truck no matter what lotta people cant do better in a 4.6l or 5.4l
hell man i dont know of any truck than can get much better than 450-500 km on a tank in town with a bigger engine of course
This past weekend I filled up in Davidson on the way to S'toon and again on the way home to Regina. I did some driving around in S'toon on the weekend and on the way home had the quad on a trailer behind the truck and got 17mpg. Highway driving was at 120klm, so I figure that's not to bad.
