HEck yeah and since it was a super mild winter here the Snook will be out in crazy
numbers and I'm sure the redfish and gator trout too!! If you haven't been to
mosquito lagoon, You should take a trip down it is a wildlife refuge that surrounds
the cape kennedy launch sites. Youo can't enter the are near the pads so all that
water acreage is prime undisturbed breeding ground for reds and just about anything
else you can imagine. It is brackish and you have bull sharks and alligators to deal
with if you wade fish. Alot of it is only 2 foot deep and you need a flats boat or a
canoe to fish it and I am sure it is going to drop even more since there hasn't been
much rain down here either!! Usually bike week is a rain week and the past couple
years there has been hardly any rain at all I don't even think it rained for race weeks
either.
Have not fished in years, since I retired in Oct I plan to start again this spring, already have a cabin reserved, son is coming home to go with me , taking a couple cases of my freshly brewed beer. Don't know if I will catch fish or not but it should still be a good time.
Nice truck; nice boat; oh, and the fish(s)?, nice too.
Thanks Ben,
Gimme a call sometime, I'll introduce you to some of those delta fatty's. A few watering holes (insert favorite beer here) on the river worth checking out too. Good times!
Tough break Duane. Bass are starting to move shallow right now here. The FLW is going to innundate the Delta starting next Wed. (pre-fishing is well under way already)
200 boats, 400 fisherman, thru next Saturday. Going to be a zoo for the next week.
I think I'm going to buy some new line and respool all my reels tonight after work. That way I will be atleast thinking Spring, and be ready when it does break.

Now you're thinking.
Bass were caught on 6" green/w black flake senko. The striper I caught on a big topwater plug. Nothing quite like fall stripers on topwater.
I still fish and maybe to much. Love catching some brim and crappy. Whats a world without fishin? Much cheaper then hunting alot of the times unless you got to have the bass boat and all the gear possible. Ha I have caught brim with bologna before! Thats no lie.
