I like the a/c/t, pw/pl/stereo, the rest I could do without. I can see the power adjust petals, power rear slider, auto temp control, stereo/heat controls in the steering wheel, etc possibly being a major electrical pain later on....
In late 1985 trucks you could EFI only on the 302's. It wasn't until 1987/88 that you could EFI on all the truck engines.
Ford did have a CFI (Central Fuel Injection) setup which was used on 1983-85 Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis, Thunderbirds and Cougars. It was also used on 1984-85 Mustangs but the CFI was only used on 3.8 V-6's and 5.0L. While it worked it wasn't a very good system as it had limited control and no diagnostic capability.

Make it a Ford with a short box and the years don;t matter. My brother and I are sprucing up an 81 stepside. It will have a carb but not the 1 barrel, were keeping the 300 but doing a clifford and 4 barrel upgrade. As for your truck slick I checked out the gallery and she looks goods.
As for the EFI stuff I have seen 85's with carb and EFI. All 302's 86 that I have brought home have been EFI. I did have an 84 once that was a hybrid type of thing like a EFI carb thing. Never seen a 300 pre 87 with EFI.
