i noticed my blue hose just coming out of the turbo had oil drops on the top of it so i checked it and found that if i squeezed it there would be a split in it so i thought i would just order a new one. called ford that baby must be made of gold 175.00 dollars anyone know of after markets any cheaper?
If you're going to do the repair I would strongly suggest that you take some extra time and do the CCV reroute as well since it will prevent the hoses from becoming oil soaked in the future.
Whenever a component fails only a few miles after the warranty expires, some dealerships will work w/ you to get a reduced price (or even cover it completely at their discretion). This sounds like a good candidate - it should not have split. Have you asked the dealership if they will cover it? Maybe you pay the first $100??
BTW- Wrapping it with duct tape WILL hold for quite awhile. I'm not know as te "Duct Tape Specialist" for a reason. ROFLMAO I drove 169 miles from a drag strip to home with JUST duct tape for that hose! I didn't push it, but it did hold.
i need a boot for the intercooler connection and i want it about a foot long so i can put 2 clamps on it, its going to a spearco and i dont know what size it is without taking it off
