Hello everyone i have a 2004 F250 6.0L Turbo Diesel and i have a Coolant Leak Coming from Somewhere its Dripping Just below the Passenger side almost middle
i brought it to a mechanic and he said Something about Removing The turbo to Replace a hose? i was wondering what does that hose cool and how easy would it be to replace do i need Special Tools? or just a piece of hose and Clamps. if so please Details. thank you.
It's the EGR cooler hose. I think it can be done without removing the turbo, but have not done it myself. Lots of threads on it in the 6.0 diesel forum.
The link that bpounds provided also includes the parts list for replacing the hose. Ford dealer will have them instock. But you might want to see what "partsguyed" can do for you. I have found that I paid a bit too much for those parts when I did mine.
