for the ones that do have spark plug wires 4.6/4.2
I used Magnecor 8mm and they seem to work just fine on mine, felt a real difference with a good set of sparks. quick acceleration!
No. That's not what we're saying. There are no high voltage resistor spark plug wires to go bad. It is possible the ordinary low voltage wires & connections that go to the COP to develop problems. These shouldn't be ruled out, but they're part of the motor wire harness-not really consumable/replaceable like conventional spark plug wires.

FORD scheduled maintenance probably gives 100,000 miles between spark plug changes.
I'd suggest searching FTE for 'blown spark plug' & 'changing spark plugs' before attempting to change the plugs. There are horror stories about stripped threads in aluminum heads & valuable suggestions.
There have been a number of comments about the boots under the COP going bad resulting in misfiring & the tip that they're available separately.
