Mike, here are some pics of where I put mine and I think most do about the same
When drilling this out should i remove the manifold to do so? just wondering how much metal shavings will be in there,i was reading the directions saying it needs removed to avoid that but i dont see much getting in there if any at all given the angle, anybody do this with it on?

No, you just drill and tap, some uses grease with the drill, some goes from small drill to the correct size of the drill, some does it with the engine running, etc. I just drill with the correct size of drill and tapped, the shavings falls by themselves, and at the end I vaccummed the hole and thats it.

good luck
Thanks for the good info, ill get it i hope this weekend i was kind of thinking the shavings wouldn't be a problem since the angle is so downward,i can understand if it was going it the top on a flat or something hahah thanks again
BTW be careful when tapping, remember that is a NPT, so you dont go to far, OK?
What do you mean by going to far? are you meaning the threads dont need tapped all the way through until i get to the end of the hole? here is what my plan was as far as drilling the hole, the fitting says its a 3/8 NPT fitting so i was going to get a drill bit of that size and drill out the hole until it is all the way through the metal where im drilling then i was going to get a tap and tap it to that size all the way through and thread it in, is this correct? i never have tapped anything before hahahah

That is correct: National Pipe Thread Taper (NPT) is a U.S. standard for tapered threads used on threaded pipes and fitting. In contrast to straight threads that are found on a bolt, a taper thread will pull tight and therefore make a fluid-tight seal.

Good info Jose, I just wanted to clarify an important part of the tapping process When I did mine it called for 1/8" NPT use 21/64 or 8.3mm drill, the hole needs to be just a little smaller than the tap size (Use a tapered tap). you should use thread cutting oil. I used regular oil and remember to back out the tap a little every once in a while so you don't gall the threads. I don't do this very often so I'm sure others that do this more will chime in if I don't have it just right
Well i did misread my NPT size,it is a 1/8 inch hahaha i was thinking 3/8 for some reason but its all good, ill have to go get me a tap since i don't have any and get this thing in there hahah then its ebpv gutting time
I got my pyro in and all hooked up everything went great thanks to all of the help from you guys tapping and all was a success, my temp stays pretty low to, the highest i have seen it is 800 at wide open throttle, its nice to see that temp now because i can feather my throttle and keep it where i choose most of the time.

Glad to know that every thing went well and that your EGTs are that low Congrats amigo.
