Thanks so much guys, this helps a lot,im glad when you guys do things like this you take pictures its so helpful,i cant remember who was telling me now to put mine there but im glad for the good advise,i wish my gauge would hurry up and get here hahah
question for you guys with all the gauges - where's the best place to pick up a pyro probe and gauge kit?
i thought i had bookmarked the link to that lab equipment website that sells the probe and digital readout kit for well under $100 bucks, but i can't find it now. i think i want an automotive dial guage anyway, but i remember that price being hard to turn down. any advice on good, low cost automotive pyro gauges and probes would be much appreciated!

Check out Riff Raff and get an ISSPRO EV2.. Great gauges and match pretty closely to the stock gauges.
Autometers are nice also though. If you don't mind a little bit worse lighting, the Z series auto meters are a little bit cheaper.

Thanks guys. I like the look of those isspro gauges - the black with white lettering specifically. I'm guessing the pyro gauges on clay's site don't come with the probe? Does he carry them or will any probe work. It's just a thermocouple, right? K-type?
