Diesel up again!!
I had about 1/4 tank of fuel and was thinking that I'd fill up next week. Well, I saw that the price of diesel jumped from $3.40 to $3.80 at a station near me overnight! What the heII is going on?!

I wonder how high diesel & gas have to go before people start saying "you know, I don't REALLY have to go there today"?
When fuel was 2 bucks a gallon, everybody thought that the world would end if it ever hit 3 bucks. Now that it's in the 3's, 4 dollars a gallon sounds scary. When it hits 4 dollars a gallon (probably this summer) I guess $5 a gallon will be scary. My personal prediction - when it costs 50% of your weekly take home pay to fill your tank, the s**t will hit the fan.
I'm driving my wife's Honda CRV a lot more lately.

The price goes up because supply goes down or demand goes up. The only way price will go down is if supply goes up or demand goes down.

Let me tell you what feels pretty good. Not caring. One of our cars is paid for and my truck is getting close. I really don't care. I just fill up with premium. Compared to more payments, I'll just drive our paid off vehicles longer.
Every time I'm tempted to go out and buy a newer truck, I just think of that.

I'm sure that it did. Even if it had no real impact on supplies, the speculators use it to drive up prices.
IMO-I don't see diesel coming down much in the near future. It's only becoming more popular and with 1/2 tons getting diesels, there will only be more demand.
