110 gals of B-10, in Woodhull, IL was $401.39. ($3.649)
120 gals of D#2, in Kearney, MO was $411.23. ($3.419)
10 hours between purchases.
The $80 it takes to fill the F250 doesn't really make me sweat any more, except for the novelty of the number.
Hint: The price of diesel comes from two things: a very *W*E*A*K* dollar, and oil company/republican party greed.
Oil is priced in dollars, so when the dollar is weaker than a fresh-hatched baby chick, it takes a lot of 'em to buy a barrel of oil. Currency depreciation ALONE is worth $40 a barrel. If the dollar was back at E1.00, (versus it's near E1.50 (that's euros, BTW)), gas would be around $2.25 or so, given equal world "political" conditions.
Oil Co/Republican Party greed is a big part of the equation because we have OVERT connections between the administration and the oil. In previous administrations, the links were still there, but they weren't being used to slap the American Public in the face like they are at the current time. As long as the connections are in such large public view, the raping of the American public will continue.
I'll bet a good chunk of revenue that gas and diesel prices will start to head for the basement, oh, about mid-september, like they did in 2006, as the Republicans start to try to "buy" the election by bringing fuel prices down. And no matter who wins, they'll stay down because such "obvious" ties between politics and oil will go away with the changing of the guard on 1/20/2009. If only the Fed can keep CPR going on the American Economy long enough for it to come to pass.

What are we talking about again?
You got to be kidding me!
Of course, it's an election year...
The Synthetic Fuels Corporation was formed during a Republican's term...right?
How about we allow those who really need to shoulder the blame to stand up - us. We are hooked on the stuff and it will take drastic measures to change that.
Thats just it...Its harder to be the average Joe up here. When I travel and see what I can get for the money, I want to leave . Pennsylvania, North Carolina, New Hampshire, or anywhere else. Im jealous of anyone with a 3 car garage, or enough land that you can barely see your next door neighbor. Fuel prices just make it that much tougher to stay. For all of you in rural areas, enjoy it, stay out of this god-forsaken rat race. Youll live longer and have less stress.move to the boonies, lots of stuff is cheaper, but chances are you aren't making a wall street salary either...
Sorry guys I like Ford for my work vehicles but I stick with Toyota for my personal vehicles. Plus the ol' lady hates the new Camry so it will keep her from wanting to drive it lol.
Diesel went from $3.45 to $3.65 in a matter of a week here in So Cal.
