Well, we all know that the doucheamaxes will not work for offroading, due to the 2" of ground clearance under the front of the cab. Where the frame has the hoopty do. Minimizer, what is that all about anyway?

Don't forget about the IFS. And douchemaxes, that is hilarious.
Don't even try to haul a heavy load with the Chevy. Have any of you seen what happens to the front wheels when the tongue weight gets heavy. They start to go like this \-/ when looking at it from the front. The truck is not made for hard work.
ah!!!! Now why would we wont to act like adults? LOL I like the Dmaxes I know there good for something. Besides I owned one and my wife still does. I never said that she is smart! LOL All in fun here!!!!
There is a reason that 80% of REAL work trucks are Fords even though I am seeing more and more Dodges. The only Chevys you see are the site supervisor, or tool push or basically any one who doesn't use their truck for work
That's just what I see up here in Canada
work at a land scapping buisness tha plow during the winter. boss bought a 07 3/4 ton duramax. i cant count the number of times my 97 3/4 ton powerstroke has had to pull him out. the frame sits to low on chevy's IMO to be considered a work truck. there is alot of farmers around here that use chevy's to commute or haul the family but 90% of them have a ford or 3 in the back hooked up to equiptment or in the hay barn.
Well now that you brought up how durable a stock motor would be if it was used in compitition and Nascar as well.
How many Duracrapers are being run in the Craftsman series? None. How many powerstrokes are being run? Several. mmmm.
As a NASCAR fan, I've got to throw out a correction here. There are no diesels, be it a Duramax or Powerstroke, being run in the Craftsman truck series. Those trucks are all powered by a small block, carbuerated and gasoline fueled motor. While there are a couple of trucks who are sponsored by an International line of engines (the #14 driven by Rick Crawford is the Powerstroke Diesel by International sponsored truck, and the #10 driven by Brendan Gaughan is sponsored by International Maxx Force Diesel) all Craftsman race trucks still have a gas motor under the hood.
whoa... remember when we debate, we debate intelligently with facts, as we have no need to resort to infantile references do we?
When I debate I like to use facts, when some Ford guys debate, they like to use powerstrokes in Nascar for examples. I feel like I am talking to stones in my driveway. Ya banks is just about race ready on a powerstroke.....I mean duramax.
The last time I saw IFS like ( \-/ ), was at the truck pulls, and we beat a Ford by 60 feet.
If the front is actually like that towing, you are towing way to heavy or the torsion bars are cranked way too high, or both.
The last time I saw a truck stuck, it was stuck because it was stuck, not because it was setting on the frame. In fact, the last tractor I saw stuck was stuck before it got to the frame too.
I don't see a 20k. If you want to talk 450/4500 class, go look them up. We'll compare notes.
BTW on a 500hp tune, if your 500hp is useable, you will use it. If it is at such a high rpm that it isn't useable towing, then you aren't towing with a 500hp tune. Either you are or your not, report back to me when you can tune your truck by yourself.
What does any of this have to do with 6.4 Tuned Dyno Numbers!!!!! Save that sh-t for the ford vs competition threads before this becomes a usless shut down thread.
Man i cant believe you guys wold risk voiding your warranty on a brand new truck that you guys just paid huge bucks for, just to make some more power.
no offense but its all about power, maybe try to not get a warranty???
idk id like a new 6.4 but all that cleandiesel crap really bothers me, i guess ill stick to my 185 hp idi lol
i love reading these threads, lol everyone knows that the duramax outperforms the 6l as a powerplant, but i think the 6.4 is a whole new monster, and we are excited about the commonrail. dodge and chevy know what it can do, ford is in the preliminaries and an over 500 hp tune is making our heads explode!
Fred, Mizer, no problem, you want some reality, well the reality is this. Slumburger, Haliburton, Key Energy Services, Thereal Story Drilling, Caterpillar, Patterson Drilling, C.C. Forbes, El Paso Corporation, Gulf South Pipeline, CenterPoint Energy, and about 10 others that I cannot think of all use Ford trucks. Most are diesels, better than 60% are now 6.0L. Nobody up here uses Chevys, cause they will not hold up to the oilfiled road abuse. Dodges are more common in Hot Shot services. However there are more Fords then GM's in that sector as well.
