push button starter switch
Hey DanMan7, I didn't have to think about doing that, it was a necessity. One day I turned the key and nothing happened. I didn't have power from the start position to the solenoid. I ran some low gauge speaker wire from the battery positive terminal and solenoid to a push button under the dash. Now it's a temporary permanent fix. I still have to insert the key and turn it to the on position. It works great. I still don't know what happened in the first place. Probably 32 year old wiring.

My key cylinder stopped starting the truck.. I'm not sure what caused it, it would work off and on. I checked wiring and stuff, finally took apart the cylinder housing and scrubbed all contacts really well. It still would only work off and on. Out of nowhere a couple of weeks later it started working consistantly.
