My uncle owns a pipeline welding company in Maple Ridge. He only buys Ford trucks, as they stand solid. They bought 3 Dodge Rams, but after the first year all 3 had to have every bolt tightened, and 2 of them had to have their engines rebuilt.
I'll never trust another Dodge Truck, although My first vehicle was a 1976 Dodge Royal Sportsman Ext. Van, I loved that van. Even when she blew a hole in #3 cylinder, I was still able to drive her from Hope to Victoria, before she died.

But any Dodge built after 1990 is crap....

Dead
Or
Dying
Gutless

certain programmers with a good written tune will get you back to good running order, but it costs $$. unless you're doing it for the heck of it, there's really no cost effective benifets that i see.

me too. no one will convince me that they couldn't engineer an engine to get 250hp and 30mpg. instead of focusing on that they try to beat the other guy's hp rating... its a grade 3 pissing match. instead of showing how you're maturing and using the urinal, you try to beat the other boys lines in the dirt.

I think the regulations really do restrict a company from reaching the high mpg with higher horsepower.

The only thing I never get is how is a engine emissions friendly if it burns more fuel then an older engine that isnt?

More fuel would equal more emissions, no?

Are we being screwed or is it a response to green?
We do need to leave a cleaner environment than what`s been happening up to now
for future generations. But is this the way by wasting fuel?

But the less fuel you burn, the less overall emissions there would be.

Example burning 10 gallons of fuel compared to 20 gallons.

I know thats an extreme, but thats what i meant.

I hear you, how can more fuel used result in cleaner air?
Don`t forget that these are supposed to be (somehow) very clean emissions....
