to the left in this pic you can see a dial (its my ITP OBA).it sits on top of the map sensor..my map line is red..yours will be black..one end goes to the spider..the other end goes to the map sensor..you need to tap into that black line for your boost reading..or you can get a AIH delete plug.tap it for a boost gauge like mine in this pic....
I love the pic's of Ron's motor it is so dam clean. You see the shinny, IC clamp with the two bolts sticking out of it, just below and to the right is the AIH (air intake heater) there is a tube coming out of it, that is where he is measuring boost.
does this make a differance in boost readings from the red line. someone said somthing about a line coming from the passenger side exhaust manifold that could be leaking boost but i can not find it can anyone show me pics.
Check the tag on the rear differential to make sure you have limited slip. There should be a letter "L" indicating limited slip. If there is no letter "L" you don't have limited slip.
The LS from Ford is a quirky setup, and doesn't always work like you think it should. Many times in extremely slick conditions it flat out doesn't work and the rear acts like an open differential. To help it engage, you have to "load" it up, meaning apply the brakes and feather the accellerator at the same time (almost like power braking).
When the LS setup begins to fail, you'll end up with a lot of rear end chatter at low speeds or while cornering. If you don't have those symptoms, then no service or additives are required.

to load it up the recomendation is to do it with the parking brake
while it does work somewhat it is a real pain to hold the release while feathering the brake
