Ignition switch
I have a 1990 F-250 and the ignition switch is getting really stiff now that the temps. are dropping around here. I tried spraying some cleaner in it and then some lock lube. It helped a little but still pretty stiff on the cold mornings.
How do you remove the ignition switch? On the old ones you used to use a paperclip if I remember right. I want to clean it out good and see if that helps.

Same as the bronco's? Disconnect the battery, take the bottom cover of the column (no need to pull the wheel), put the key in and turn it to "run", push the release button/pin up, the bottom of the tumbler socket (button is toward the centerline of the column end of the tumbler socket) and pull the tumbler out. Reverse to put in the new one.

I don't see why you need to disconnect the battery and the thing you put your key into is called the IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER. The "ignition switch" is down at the bottom of the column near the firewall, up on top of the column.
When you say "stiff" do you mean hard to turn, or hard to get the key into?
