Scan tool ?
Sorry for all the questions folks but I just got this truck a week ago and I'm trying to get everything worked out plus learn some.
1990 F-250 5.8/E40D.
I had a CE light flash briefly at me 3 times the other morning. (truck seemed to be running fine). Hooked up the scan tool (Xray 2000)
KOEO-
Code 11 sytsem pass
Memory code 32 EGR (I did that when I was tinkering and unhooked the egr sensor)
Scanner also said "seperator code" with nothing else

Anybody know what that seperator code means? The truck seams to be running fine but it sure likes the GAS!......OUCH!!
I cleared codes and will continue to monitor.

the seperation code is there to tell you that one code is done and the next one is about to be displayed.
These things were meant to be read with a test light or analog multimeter, so the code is in there to alert your peeled eyes to pay close attention.
A code reader just reads the pulses the ECC puts out and converts it to text. Essentially it counts meter sweeps for you.
Truck like that, you're lucky to hit 13mpg. Even in my F150 with 3.55s only gets 13.X combined.
