HELP - Ignition Cylinder/ Switch

I have a 1965 F100 and I'm trying to replace my ignition cylinder. The question I have is how do you 'lock' the new ignition cylinder into the ignition switch?

I am recalling from memory so forgive the not quite exact directions, there is a little hole in the tumbler, you push that in and turn the tumbler to remove, you slide the new tumbler into position, W/the key and I think you have to turn and then push in the button again, I used a paper clip, it has been a few years, but if you try a few different times/ways you should figure it out.

Place the key into the cylinder, and with it in the horizontal position (key teeth pointing towards the door) slip it into the lock and turn it clockwise until it is verticle and pull the key out.

If everything is working correctly it should be correctly in place.
