another resistor mod ?

Hey guys, I just inherited a superchips programer for free. I got it hooked up and noticed a slight difference. It seems to idle alot smoother and run quieter for some reason.Anyhoo will doing the resistor mod do me any good with the programmer hooked up? I'm outta work with a bad disk in my back so now would be a good time to do the mod, if it's worth it! Thanks

I wouldn't hook up a resistor with the tuner unless you have and egt gauge. It will probably give you more power but it will also raise your temps. Actually I wouldn't even run the tuner without a gauge. its a dice roll if you do run it without the gauge. There is no "feel" for temps.

I hear ya with the gauge, but will the resistor and the tuner be compatible? Gauges are definitely on the to do list. I don't really hammer on the truck do to the price of fuel, but never the less gauges shall be next.
