I agree with your comment, 'cause it... kinda agrees with my comment.
They may not be able to compete with top dollar for Lowell 'cause they have to draw the line somewhere, partuclarly after spending all that money for Dice-K. I think Dice-K will improve and Lowell will age, but it's be my bet that next year Lowell would contribute as much or more than Dice-K...

He was great and showed the baseball world why he should be the AL CY Young winner..

Looks like the Indians fans were very quiet tonight..

Even if the Indians end up winning, it was good to see the Red Sox bring it back to Fenway...

I wonder if Beckett would be ready for game 7 if needed?

Well...all is right with the world...Saawx win and the Yank-mees lose...their manager anyway..it just doesn't get any better than this. I can only think of one word...out of my voluminous vocabulary...ok...I have a thesaurus...that accurately describes Josh Beckett this post season...WOW!!!

By the way...what's up with Manny...had to be the longest single in playoff history...I hate Tim McCarver...but he was substantially right when he ripped the boy for his very slow trot to first base. Fortunately...it didn't cost the Saawx!!!

Fenway Park will be rockin on Saturday!!!

Yes, "Manny being Manny" doesn't always lead to the best textbook baseball. Still wouldn't trade him for anybody though, there's plenty of folks out there who could learn a lot from Manny the Philosopher.

10-4 on Beckett - wow, talk about dominating a game! They should give him part of Dice-k's salary. A cut of Epstein's too...

Loved the description of the Beckett/Lofton incident in the Globe - they said they said "everybody hustled onto the field in case a hockey game broke out."

Probably the biggest game of the season and I missed it - I had to go to bed so I could work an overtime shift at midnight. I'm not happy. I am hoping our weekend work gets cancelled so I can see the two (that's right TWO) games this weekend.

Add in a Patriot's thrashing of Miami on Sunday and this could be a great weekend.....

Red Sox in seven....that's my prediction.

the announcers should do nothing but announce the game not criticize players. he sounded like a little b**** on the tv crying about a guy not running.

unlike the yankees at least our stars hit.

McCarver is a color analyst...so his job is to point this stuff out. With that said, he's always been a Saawx baiter/hater and was definitely out of line with the extent of his criticism. Make your point and get on with it already!!! Perhaps, he's jealous that he didn't posess anywhere near the talent of Manny...or he didn't play in the era where the money was really stupid!!!

Boy...I can hardly wait until Saturday...I can feel a big game for Schilling...again it's a one game season...lose and the Saawx go home!!! They're not ready for that!!!

Has our friend from Montana been heard from yet today???

Manny was probably standing at the plate giving the touchdown sign in case the ball went out. He's going to get plunked before it is over. The guy is certifiable but I bet he would be more fun to go have a beer with than many of the other players.

Most of my work was cancelled for the weekend - ironically because the Sox are back in town.....looks like I can see some ball. They better not let me down.

You don't expect the Indians to just walk all over the Red Sox do ya? They just want to give the fans their money's worth. Besides, it'll be more fun to take the series in Boston in front of all those crying fans.

Sheesh, when are ya gonna learn about baseball huh?
