The Indians are not beating the Red Sox they are beating themselves.
They have out hit the Indians, but have not capitalized on any of it and have left numerous guys stranded.
Pitching has been dismal to say the least.. We can't win with 1 pitcher..
The rest of them need to get their delves together and step it up..
Yup , I've been saying the same thing. Three homers should be enough to push you into the win column if you hit them with runners on base. In this series we've seen bases loaded & no outs result in zero runs - multiple times, and now three homers result in three runs. Pretty dismal....

I don't know about that, Don, the Indians are administering a good old fashioned **** whupping. Since it was 6-5 Saawx in the second game...the Tribe has outscored the "Good Guys" 19-5!!! They must be pretty good...even as the Saawx have been pretty awful. Us Saawx fanatics sometimes can't see the forest for the trees!!!
Let's give the Tribe props for games 2,3,&4...and now go kick their ***** 3 in a row!!!
By the way...what's up with Mannys' showboating after the home run that closed the gap to 4?!?! If I were a Cleveland pitcher in the next game he would have some horsehide stitches tatooed on his body somewhere!!!
That's a pretty stupid statement to make, but you are entitled to your own opinion.
Clutch hitting, good defense, and better pitching are beating the Red Sox.
That is pretty stupid of you to make a statement like that.
If you are not going to add constructively to the topic then just don't post..
That was and is my opinion..
They are beating themselves by hitting into double plays, hitting the baserunner (Ortiz), Youklis makes his first error in 15 months, Our dominant pitching has taken a leave of absense, except for Beckett.
The Red Soxs have been hitting the Indians pitching.. It is not there superior pitching as you state, but the Red Sox hitting there pitch right to them to catch..

i hear ya, they are smacking the ball, just alot of fly ball outs.
none the less it was great seeing manny standing at the plate with his arms up in the air, whata bomb.
i remember going to sox games against the indians in the late 90's while manny was playing for the indians. he used to put a hurtin on the bosox, even against pedro.
there going to make a series out of this, they have to

I agree... I hope they do make a series out of it..
We all know they have everything to win, but the planets are not aligned right now..
That is baseball..
There have been many good teams over the years that should have won, but fate stepped in the way..
The Cubs, Red Sox, Indians,,,etc.. have all had their share of disappointment..
That is why we keep coming back for the suspense and hoping for that win.

Manny's the greatest - I love to watch him play. Whether it's crushing a homer, or falling asleep in left field... he reminds me a kid playing ball, John Fogarty and all. He's the guy out there who looks like he's having the most fun, and that's the way it should be - it is a game, after all...

i love it, your right. him asleep in left field, crawling out of the batters box on ground *****, we'll take him anyway we can get him. he does have a cannon for an arm that we see everynow and then.
how many times have you seen a 458ft line drive home run???? i f****** love it.
coke bottle shots as well

I agree...
He never seems to be worried about the next contract or how he can make more money...
I also like how consistent he is.. You get the same effort every year not just the contract years..
I get sick of these athletes who tail off when they are in the middle of a contract then step it up the last year so they can demand more money..
It's pretty easy to say now, but Francona should have went with Beckett last night. He was fine on three days rest in the past, and if you get to game 7 then you have him again fully rested.
As it stands now, you get him 1 more time.
Indians: if you want this, you better get it in 5 - you don't want to go back to Fenway.
Sox are down 3-1? They were down 3-0 in the ALCS in 2004. Anybody remember the outcome to that series? Yankees beat the Sox 39-2 or something on the 16th of October 2004.....Aaron Boone beat them in 2003 against Wake....the 16th is just a bad day.
They will be back in form tomorrow night, I'm sure.
If not, as we Boston fans said so often "there is always next year".
