So my passenger window has never worked and i have decided to change that. My problem is window runs about 1/4 down, not slow but not supersonic, and then stops. I took the panal off to look and try to lube reg. and if i push my window goes down all the way and then needs a little bump to get started up. does this sound like a motor or regulator.
i have a dfuser 18k mod on the way until i save enough for a dp. Anyone have an opinion on an 18k?
Dan (kwikkordead) wrote up a thread on lubing the windows. I did mine back in April and it made a big difference!! Definitely recommended -- it should help save your motors some extra wear. Here's the thread I started, which includes a link to kwikk's: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/5...ndow-lube.html
Someone on here had a little write up on lubing the windows. I don't recall who it was but it was fairly easy.
On mine I used some silicone spray from NAPA. It's the stuff that dries but leaves the slick silicone residue on the surface. I sprayed the felt window tracks with the window up, I then ran the window up and down. Do this and you'll see a difference.
I also regreased the metal scissor track that the window rides up/down on. Both made a world of difference. Very cheap and inexpensive fix.

John, if you look at the link I posted above, it covers all that. Including spraying the CRC silicone in the felt tracks. I highly recommend everyone with power windows do this -- only takes about an hour it will probably save your motors (or increase their life drastically).
