Close enough I think. I'm worried about him, though. I'm thinking he's getting way too much mopar exposure...he might be going to the dark side.....................LOL!!
I'll throw in some money towards the Reliant intervention, Jake's too young to go bad already! I suggest a Reliant wagon with the fake wood paneling on the sides...
Well whatever fellas. I got bored and took the wheels off Blue and cleaned/painted my big ol' 3/4 ton hubs black. Looks pretty good. Then I rotated the tires......bald ones to the front, good tread to the back......
yep, i can see the rear doors on the challenger just now...so jake, when u bringin' blue back to hastings? i'm sure i'm gonna bring the 81 this week for the hell of it, probably take it out to the jungle and see how well the 4x4 works lol
So you guys never did get that Reliant to me......you're all probably driving it right now due to high gas/diesel prices.
But seriously......have we forgotten about this thread or what?
I myself am contemplating jerking my 390, fixing rear main seal (still haven't done it......haha that's a surprise), pull the timing cover and advancing my cam, and maybe (if Pat or Rob buys me one) a new/better intake. I also need to drop and re-seal the tranny pan. I guess we'll see what the FE gods tell me to do about my cam timing and intake.....that's probably the deciding factor. I figure for now I can park over cardboard and check the oil......no one else does so it's good it doesn't get driven alot.
Well, let's see where I'm at. The decision has been made, the 67 WILL BE RESTORED!! I have two rooms in the house to finish. Then, I'll pull the body off the frame, and go from there. I'l also be pulling that six out, and replacing it with the 390 I have in the garage. So, if anyone is looking for a six cylinder, you'll have to let me know. I'd like to adapt a 5 speed to it also, but that might be a little too pricey.
I like to thank George for inspiring me after seeing his 69 in person!
Idk if Kenny will want your six or not. You may PM him about it. From the way he talks he wants to run a 240 head, etc (not sure if your's is a 240 or a 300....)
Jake, good to hear you are moving forward on the 69. Too bad somebody doesn't have a 428 laying around that you could put in it. Of course if I had one it would be in the tbird.
BOO!!!! Ha! scared u guys, y'all thought i was dead!
just roamin around this evening (or morning?) thought i'd let y'all kno how the 81 is holdin up.
started running thicker oil, so it holds pressure now...kinda jerry-rigged, but it'll get me till i'm ready to overhaul it, or something else......o yes, and put in a colder thermostat so she quit overheating lol
just bought a clifford 4 barrel intake for it on evilbay tonight and looking at a 4" lift kit for it too...when the money tree is in bloom again...
o, and jake, u'll be happy to kno that i pulled out the evaporator and cleaned out all the junk blocking the air flow...hell, i even combed the fins too! great air flow now but the a/c still isn't cooling as good as i wanted it too, so a conversion to 134a is in the works real soon.
and i couldn't help but notice that ur going to restore ur 67 pat, congrats! but if u get that 390 ur hopeing for, just keep this a-wall 6 shooter in mind!
