It's just so funny as soon as someone has a different setup then the majority of people in here automatically their setup is junk and going to instantly "blow up" their truck or something and everyone bags on them....
My "opinion" of the transcommand has come from several what I consider good diesel mechanics here locally that have said the same thing without being in the same room. It has nothing to do with your set up being different than mine.

ya know its funny you said that seeing as how i'm the shadetree mechainic running the only drilled accumulator body
well joe i wouldn't exactly say that. one of my friend's grandpa's works for ford and he has a 95 f-350 2wd cc auto. and from what my friend was saying he did some drilling in his tranny i just haven't asked him what he drilled out yet. all i know is that he drilled out something to make it shift harder under hard acceleration
Well I wouldn't mind buffing up my transmission for sure, but I just don't want to tear into and drill holes to achieve what you guys are doing. Isn't there aftermarket valve bodies that do the same? (I know I'm going to get hell for even asking this but...) If I do this mod, should I just ditch the trans command, I mean I have unpluged it and seen what it was like in stock mode, and man, that slush box takes forever to shift and just overall sucks. I like the shift points that the trans comand does, but will the valve body mod take care of all this? Is running both going to kill my tranny still???
good god! if you run anything on top of my kit you would either rip a drive shaft out or break your foreward planetary for sure, not to mention the chriopractor bills for your neck!
And just to set the record straight so all you Anti-Banks folks don't think I'm a complete moron, the truck already had all the Banks stuff on it when I bought it, the guy I bought it from had it installed when the truck only had 40k on it, and the only other stuff I'v put on it was an intercooler, ONLY using the Banks pipes... so stop busting my *****!!
but why? its all in good fun! never said anybody running a banks kit was a moron. just saying there are way better and cheaper ways to do the same thing banks did
Oh, BTW the truck now has 141k and no tranny problems YET.... cross my fingers and knock on wood... thats the only reason I was sticking up for the banks crap.(it's worked well for me)
And I don't mind taking some constructive criticism, anything that makes my truck run longer, stronger, and faster I'm up for..
i dont think the banks kit will "break" your truck, just saying that raisng the line pressure is not good for it, i have driven many trucks with the transcommand and it doesnt shift that hard, banks doesnt turn it up that much, thats why i'm not impressed with it, i think for the money they charge they could have a much better product
