When driving down the highway it sounds like one injector on passenger side is firing a little earlier, maybe its just me and i'm parinoid because i usually have the windows down and music up so i don't hear much of the outside noise, how would i know if i should replace my injectors, and if i do replace them, do i need to get retimed?
First - Turn off the radio so you can hear the engine better...
Second- listen to the motor. Does it sound smooth or rough. If rough it should be smoking. Look out the mirror at tailpipe.
Replacing injectors is nothing like changing sparkpugs. It is a complete different animal.
And a lot more work, $$$, and time involved.
Sorry about not posting back, truck doesn't smoke, there are 100000 miles on these injectors, it just sounds like its igniting louder/earlier when going down the highway/ higer rpms
