Put my truck on the computer today and it won't complete the test kept giving code p1000 the shop tried 4 times then tried to get the computer to do self dianostic no go anyone else run into this? Do I need a new computer?
P1000 is not really a trouble code. When you clear the PCM, it sets a P1000 code until it has gone throught a couple of drive cycles. If you don't have any other codes, then nothing is wrong and you don't need a new computer (PCM)
