Finally Caved
KIDDING!
Damn...your *** sticks up like a black women's booty! What size block you got back there again?? 4"? Find that 2" block and you should be all set.
And just my personal opinion. Your truck looked better with raised, white outlined letter on the tires.
Believe it or not, thats actualy the work of a 3.5 inch (maybe 4inch) SD block. I just now measured everything and found that the rear is 4 inches higher than the front. (43 front vs 47 rear) So I'm going to look into 2.5 blocks (if I remember, there are 2.5 inch SD blocks) and like you said that will fix my problem. Anybody have part numbers for the 2.5 inch SD blocks?
Great look and congrats on getting it finished! Did the kit come with any blocks? You added 4s? I think a 2 inch drop in the rear will finish it off UNLESS you added 2 to the front and 37 inch tires. Then you would have the biggest 2wd here. Cant wait for pics.

If you're in or around the Houston area, DI Performance on 1960 and Jones Rd is the place to go. They will take very good care of you and go the extra mile as they've done for me many times. That's why I go to them before I go to the any dealer with the terrible treatment they give some of their customers. DI Performance can lift your truck, make it go faster, run better, and look great.
As for the fine details: my truck sits surprisingly level now that the 4 inch SD blocks were removed. I thought it would sag, but it sits perfectly level. (only because I got a new leaf pack as part of my kit vs. add a leaf with other kits) Come monday, I should have some 2 in or 2.5 in SD blocks, so it won't sit level for long.
If myself, i eat hybrids, and igotoneforya, have inspired anyone else to lift their truck; I'll break this down so it's easier for you:
1. No matter what kit you buy, make sure you have a pitman arm (and a pitman arm puller from Autozone, very important) as most of them don't seem to come with them. (4wheelparts has this and many other parts readily available)
2. Another thing kits don't come with is an adjustable camber kit. If you don't have one of these an alighnment will be almost impossible as your truck comes with non-adjustable cams. (if you don't have these an alignment will cost upwards of $200)
3. Be careful with who you deal with. The local shop (who's name I won't mention) wanted an insane amount of money for installation, spacers, blocks, and leaf springs they weren't sure were going to work. Also, if you order online, make sure you deal with someone who is going to take good care of you and not BS you. I had a problem with Explorer Procomp and 4wheelonline and there were really only 2 people (one at each company) that took good care of me. If you decide to order from either one and/or have a problem, PM me and I'll send you their names and the proper info.
4. Research! Research! Research! Make sure you're getting the right kit! If you're ordering a Procomp kit, make sure you get the 4130BMX and not the 4021BMX. It's usually cheaper, but doesn't come with the leaf pack you need for the rear.
Between the lift, installation, tires, and rims, you will spend some money for this all, but it is worth every penny. My X rides so much better, feels much more confident on the road, and looks awesome! (caught one of my neighbors a fellow SD owner staring
)

Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
43 inches from the ground to the top of the front wheel well and 43 inches from the ground to the top of the rear wheel well. When I get some new blocks it will be either 2 or 2.5 inches taller for towing purposes.

So it is level without adding blocks which is better than mine. I added 2 inches to get to level and cannot get bigger blocks. You have more options....
As far as gearing, do not go to 4.10. not enough difference. 4.30 is lowest option and would get you to near stock gearing. It is a spendy option if you only go 4.1 but worth it if you go 4.30. I like mine with the 3.73 since most of my travels are without trailer on the road at 80+ mph and these gears allow me good gas mileage at that speed.

I need to do some more reasearch as I need to find out exactly what's best for my situation. Any suggestions?
