Hi, I have a 2001 xlt Ranger with a left front door speaker that is starting to distort/cracking (?). I would like to replace it with a factory type speaker. I don't require powerful sound or anything fancy, I would like to just replace the speaker with one that will work like it used to. I've looked around in a bunch of online parts sites but no oem type speaker. Thanks for any help.

Do yourself a favor and put a set of aftermarket replacement speakers in there. Even a $50 set of coaxles will significantly increase the quality of sound of the stock system.
I agree with Rockledge, go aftermarket, thier easier to get, they sound better and probably won't cost much more than a new factory speaker, if as much. The boneyard isn't the best place to get speakers as you may have to go through 10 of them to get one good one and how long will it last. Crutchfeild has all kinds of good speakers in different price ranges.
What caused the original speaker to blowout, misuse, or accident.
Actually getting the oem speaker would be a waste of money. If you play your music loud (more than 3/4 volume) you could get a 30 rms, 140 peak for less, and that would never distort on the factory headunit. get two of them.
