Was at Wally-world today and seen this stuff on the shelf and wondering if any one here uses it. Says on the jug no SCA's needed. Don't know what color it is, says can be added to any coolant. Sorry if it has been discussed before, don't have time to look thru the threads. Thanks, Bill
I use it and i like it so far.Had it in now for a little over a year.I didnt want to mix the gold with the red,so i drained all the gold in my motor and rad.
Final charge is red.
I got the Rotella ELC coolant that is allready mixed I have not replaced it yet It sounds like I should find the concentrate since I wont be able to get all the water out when I flush the system and then it wont be mixed properly. Do I need to be concerned with this or go for it with what I have?
What i would do is to pull the block drains.Theres one on each side of the block, ones near the oil filter and the other is on the other side of the motor.
When i did mine i drain the block, then pulled upper and lower rad hose and flushed just the rad out.
The final charge coolant can be mixed with 20% of another coolant.(I think)It says it on the bottle.
The Final Charge is a 50/50 premix of Rotella ELC branded for Wal Mart.
After pulling the block drains remove the outlet hose for the heater core and run a garden hose to it and flush with water. Then use air compressor set on no more than 20psi and blow the heater core contents out.
The Final Charge is a 50/50 premix of Rotella ELC branded for Wal Mart.
Actually, Final Charge is the Old World Industries (Peak) label, who are the manufactures of the coolant. Rotella ELC is Final Charge branded for Shell.
Thanks, people. I looked on Final Charges web site and they also sell a "converter" to safely change other coolant. I'm thinking of just flushing the old out as best I can with Alan's directions.
