Hey guys, I'm looking for some headers for my truck. It has a 302 and it's 2wd. I have looked in JC Whitney and LMC catalogs and can't find any. If anybody has some around in North Central Illinois, or knows of a place that makes some, let me know.
Your best bet is to look for Header Manufacturers online in their application charts.
Hooker,Hedman,BlackJack,etc
Or parts companies application charts.
Parts companies like lmc, autozone, summit only market what's available.
You can find TONS of header threads in the exhaust forum as well.
I have the same ones as bmulhbach. They rust like a &^%$%^, but they fit well. However you will have to remove the fan shroud and motor mounts and jack up the motor to get them in. They only go in from below... PITA! You will need some tall jack stands or ramps to do it. You need about 2 ft of ground clearance to twist them up in there.

I have posted on many, many header questions, here are a couple links that may help you, also if you look at my profile and search for header posts there may be many more that would answer your question
Yea my headers came from summit too. I have a 77 with a 302 and C-4 I was planning on running purple hornies straight off the headers but the transmission crossmember was in the way. So I sent the purple hornies back and got some Hedman Collector Extenders (they are just long Collector pipes with a couple of bends in them to get up over the transmission crossmember) and some summit 12" glasspacks. Worked out great for me, but it is a PITA to get the headers in from the bottom! The drivers side went in from the top with no problem but the passenger side from the bottom was a pain. Good luck!
I have headers from summit. easy to install. not bad for $80, but they arent going to last forever either and you need to keep re-torque bolts. I also want to get better gaskets then what came with them since i think one might be leaking slightly.
