Ha! 0430 where you are, 5 more minutes here...I stocked up on the brew yesterday, so after fixing the trailer lights this morning (loaned it to a neighbor who yanked on the cable to disconnect them from his bumper connection) it's...

It may have been early morning where you are, but if that's the time to have a cold one, remember, it's NOON somewhere.

4:30am.... That's time for coffee with a little whiskey! (Or a little coffee with your whiskey)

Just a note to my friends to say good by. I have to go into the hospital for a week, in about a week. I may have a few days when I get back. But I have to move onto the boat as the Wife will be back soon after and I need to be gone. Maybe in time She will forgive me but in the meantime I will have no internet access on the boat. I love and care about all of you that have been here for me. I will miss so many of my friends here. FTE is the only place I have friends. So thanks to all of you.

I was just thinking of that this morning. The fire was out and the furnace is turn down. It is only 64*F. And if thats cold now the winter will kill me. This isn't the first time we have had the same thought at the same time. Spoocky Stuff

Was that Spooky Stuff or Spocky Stuff (Leonard Nimoy?) lol.

Yea, get some R7 bulkhead-blanket-style insulation for those bulkheads and overhead or you're gonna' be a cold trucker this winter.

BTW, I put a Mallory CD ignition and new spiral-wound plug wires on the old '78 truck -- what an improvement over the DuraSpark II and old carbon-core plugwires. It thinks it's a frisky young truck on the road now.

I got a Mallory CD in my 351W that I would give away. Brother sent it to me for the Dog House. The modual is blown and is a 100 bucks to replace. Every tine he would take his 79 4 wheeling it would blow at high reves. So I got a point type Dizzy to pot in her for less than the cost to fix the Mallory. I really don't trust electronic ignition for Marine use anyway with it so damp and all.

That's a heckuva give away to have to repair for $100 :~)

I installed this one where the coffee can used to be, runs like a champ - quicker starts, smoother idle, tows loads a little better.

I miss a truck I can work on...

Not that I want to work on things. My PSD runs like a Rabbid Pit Bull, but to upgrade a simple ignition module, oh how it used to be so much easier. I liked my old 78 work horse.

Looks like a job well done, Rex.

Thanks Steve -- I wasn't sure how much dinero I wanted to put into it since it was already running pretty good (after some other TLC). But the ignition improvements turned out to be a good idea.
