I What To Put On 2007 20'' Wheels On My 99 F250 6speed 4x4 Some Say They Fit With No Problems Others Say They Won't And I'll Need Wheel Spacers-if So What Size Wheel Spacers? Any Help Would Be Great.
ill be watching this one, i was interested in doing so too, i like those 20" or 18" they all look great, and most of aftermarket rims look to flashy to me,
you might be on to something, I think it was the dually that was different, because I needed a new front rim, for it and they had to order a 98, but srw trucks might have changed before that.
18" 05 Wheels Will Fit A Early 99, But With The Offset Of The 05 Wheels They Will Hit The Front Springs Went Turning. I Put Them On Mine And That Is What Happens, I Am Thinking Of Changing From Spring To Air Bags When I Get Time
From what i understand, all superduty body style trucks, 99+ (including early 99) were metric spaced 8 lug (170mm IIRC) Our SRW early 99 has an xx/98 build date and its the metric spacing. Im almost 100% certain they all have metric lug spacing, 99 and up. now i also understand later year trucks 04+ had different backspacing, but still same lug pattern. So spacers would be required, and the appropriate spacers would be a must. I have seen ones, that are correct in the way they bolt to the axle, but instead of a hub centric ring, they give you conical lug nuts, to center the wheel, which is incorrect. But it works. The wheels were designed to be hub centric, meaning flat lug nuts. And for some reason the aftermarket people give you conical lug nuts, instead of making the appropriate ring on the spacer.
