I've got one in the garage...had it hooked up, lacked reception for the most part...I never used it, so I took it out.
Are the awards things going to be done by vote or by some set person? If it's voting we need a set time to do it...so people can aim to be there for that no matter what.

By the way...if you're coming in from the north (east): As you cross the bridge on RR620 below the dam look up and to the right to the far end of the dam. You should see the retaining wall of the overlook and if you're lucky you'll see the Ford Trucks flag waving in the stiff breeze.
I spoke to Kenny Covert with Convert Ford in north Austin. That's an Ford dealership off 183 and Duval next to Rudy's BBQ. He is interested in joining with us and was talking about being an sponor for more events...that could be a good start for us in Central Texas...if we pull off that first meet with sucess (many people showing up)...we could hold more events and maybe bring in more sponors like parts places. Lets make this an FUN event!
Nice, Dog! It's good to hear that a dealer has some interest in what we're doing. As with most sponsorship sources it is important to understand their needs within the corporate goal in order to shape what we do. In other words...the better we are at matching our needs with their interests the more successful we will be.
Planning is important and to establish the relationship betwen need and interest is paramount. They are not going to get involved if they can't get any return. It's just that simple.
It's a first step and a good one. At least the door seems to be opened a bit for future possibilities. Jason, thanks for the email and I'd be happy to discuss options and opportunities with Kenny.
P.S. I worked for Covert as a mechanic in 1971. They sent me to GM training school in Houston. I doubt he will know anything about that since I think he and I are -/+10 yrs about the same age.
