Not sure how I forgot about this, I'm scheduled to be an uncle on the 15th! That's about the only foreseeable thing that could stop me at this point. I bet she'll be nice and hang out in the womb a while though .

Should I plan on bringing this? Just wondering if I need to swing by and pick up my big bottle from my parents place and get it filled (bigger = better in cooler weather). It's not big enough to cook everyone's food at once, but it will make a dent. The day will be here before we know it!

[QUOTE=Mach1]Rubberduck, so you have that CAC installed? Dont think for a moment that I had been idle on the 6L(which is my truck, the wife has the TDI Jetta now). I have some new mods on the 6L as well, although its good that it is stock programming still(and will be forever probably). I pulled down a best of 21.1 MPG last tank. I have the speed limiter ready to go this time, so you wont walk away this time.

If/when you beat the 6L, I will have to pull out the 7.3, which I dont think you want any of.

I am going to try to make it out for a little while. I have SO much going on right now.

Next season, I want to come out and watch you at the Llano muddin. I see you posted here about it, I missed that.QUOTE]

Yes, I have the cooler installed. You can see all the pics of the install in my gallery. I have that, bigger oil, and Stage 1's that I built from Jim at DIY. I still need to get it reprogramed, but it's leaps and bounds faster than it was the last time we met on the road.

You took the speed limiter out????? This could get ugly. I think you and I might start testing the speed ratings on our tires. Cuz I wasn't "walkin' away from you" back then. And if I recall correctly, as we topped that hill, things were fixin' to go past tripple digits in a hurry if I hadn't let out. And I ain't no fool, I know you've been at work at it just like me. But I'm sure curious to see how our next race goes. But remember, I didn't have the nitrous on either.

Anyway, it would be nice to see you again. Oh yeah, as far as not wanting any of your 7.3.............BRING IT!!!!! I only say that because I want to see you drive it. As far as I know, that truck just sits and collects dust.

TDISTER - I think most folks are bringing their own food and I'm assuming most will bring a means to prepare (cook) the food they bring for themselves. After all - this is a "Brown Bag" affair this go-around and only 2 hours long (officially). In the future we'll try to plan a longer event that incorporates a "cook-out".

Bring it along if you want. I'm just not sure it will be needed. It's kind of you to offer, tho.

Right now I'm not sure what the wife and I are bringing but it'll be just enough for ourselves - maybe some chicken or BBQ or something like that. If we have extra we will, of course, share as that's the neighborly way.

Hey All! While I'm thinking about it...don't forget to pack something to drink for yourselves. However - please be wise when it comes to adult beverages as we don't want anyone to get into trouble if you know what I mean. Be safe. Be smart.

OK, I might bring it then. If someone wants me to, let me know, it's no problem at all. Otherwise, I'll just decide when I figure out what I'm eating.

I could probably come real close to winning that one with the F150. All my mod money goes elsewhere. I guess the Ford is good enough as it is.

The "Plain Jane" Award:

Hmmm, let's see...
  • White exterior
  • White interior
  • Vinyl Bench seat
  • Rubber floor mats/covering
  • Metal or vinyl door panels
  • No automatic/electric niceties, i.e. windows, locks, antenna, etc
  • AM radio only with push buttons - or no radio at all
  • Standard, 3-speed tranny or PRNDL auto - no O/D
  • Stock tire size, painted rims, hubcaps, rubber stems
  • Chrome bumpers
  • Vinyl dash panel
  • No window brow tint
  • Vent windows with bubbles between laminate at edges
  • Chrome door pulls
Something like that?

OK, I guess "close to stock" would better describe mine. Doesn't sound like awards are going to be my thing here .

How about a "Best looking person" award? (/looks in mirror) Oh, I probably won't win that either. Drat!

I'll just invent something when we're there that I know I can win...and bring my own award.

Oh, man! I LOVE Slinkies!! But....they've got to be the original, metal ones!

Seriously guys: the wife and I are putting our heads together (1/4 wit + 1/4 wit = a half wit) and thought we might hand out some "fun" as well as serious paper awards to those who attend. If you've got some ideas, bring it on!

Sincerely,

Yours under the hood -
