Well if its too dirty to tell of its cast Iron or not, look at the bellhousing bolts, if you can take the bolts out from the outside, its an FMX, if you have to pull the tranny and take the bellhousing bolts off from behind the TC, its a C4.
Yea, it's an FMX. You can still get performance converters and shift kits for these, you just have to look harder.
I just want a dailydriver highway truck.Most of my driving is between 45-70 mph,I'm hoping that just stock rebuilt the FMX will be good for that.I'm thinking a cam in the 302 suited for that type of driving and a look at the rear gearing will let me do what I want with this drive train.
