air intake sensor?

my ebpv stays closed till temps are up to N.O.T with this strait pipe its very noisy and i have no power when its closed..i unhooked the temp sensor in my air intake..it now comes on for a few minutes when i 1st start her then it opens up..and doesnt come on again..this i like cause going down the road my neighbors give me dirty looks when the ebpv is closed..and i hate running it with no power..i userly leave home when the temps just start to show up on the gauge..my question is..am i hurting any thing by keeping this heat sensor from in the air intake in my glove box till spring??? thanks guy's

I rigged a three position switch on mine to use as an exhaust brake, or disable it, or to operate normally.

Your IAH will not activate (ambient temp has to be < 32* AND oil temp < 131*)

I dont think so most people remove the IAH and Plug the hole to open up the intake. It might take a tic longer to warm up the truck though. PDP Has an eliminator for the IAH code it is a resisted wire that will run from the relay to a block ground.

And this rather crude picture of how the switch is wired on my truck.
