Getting to know you...
Ha ha ha. Yeah right.
Welcome to the chapter nighteyez!
Anyway I'd like to meet y'all someday, maybe April Fools in Lodi. I used to work in Silicon Valley as a high tech manager but a year ago I joined a friend to make a 2 person machine shop so sometimes I work nearly around the clock.
This forum is a cool place to talk about stuff and I read a lot more than I ever post.
WORK ON ME! NO! WORK ON ME!

Got Wood?

The old Tin Lizzie, well actually a wood bodied Lizzie... I drove it over 100 miles a few months ago and people were actually jumping up and down pointing. No Ferrari will get that much attention.
Looking forward to meeting up with you and the rest of the FTE folks. See ya there eh...
BTW- Dad paid $250 for the 32 Woody in the early 60's. My mom drove us around in it until it was about 40 years old and it's been under restoration for the last, oh about 30 years. No project can take too long in our family.

She's rescuing a rock from the bottom of an eight foot deep pool... This truly is her favorite thing to do in the world. I think she could make Letterman's Stupid Pet Tricks.

I was born in Michigan at K.I.Sawyer AFB, then moved to Albany, OR in 73 when I was almost 2. Stayed there until I left for the Army in 92(Light Wheel truck mechanic), got out in Dec. of 94, and found a job after 5 months of unemployment at NAPA. I was going to go to college to be an engineer, but it kinda never happened. I bought a computer(Pentium 1/ 133Mhz), and found AOL. Chatted in those singles chat rooms, then found a few chicks. Ened up meeting one from Modesto, CA. She went to the Modesto NAPA, and they were looking for a counter guy that also does the slave labor in the back room. I moved down here(she was making $3 an hour more than me), and we got hitched 3 months later. Her sister told me to apply with the phone co. cause they were hiring. I thought, "why not?" So..I got hired as a Lineman, on my 25th birthday(Jan 27 97).
I got into the diesel thing in the mid 90's after a friend went to Wyo. Tech college. Then, it all hit just after I bought my 97 Dodge. I realized what he was talking about. Diesel and performance do go together, as long as a turbo or 2 is involved. I bounced around a few sites, discovered on my own how to turn up fuel in a few work trucks, and later decided to write them all down. I remember every few days somone on some board was asking how to "turn it up". I made it up on one site, buthad no pictures & that deterred a few from doing it. Then earlier this year, I moved it over to this one:

It got me some attention on a couple sites, and they made me a moderator on one of em.

Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
</O
I have owned a 55 Chevy pick up for the last 20 years. Bought it in stock form and now it has a sub-frame, 500 Caddy, 700R4, power steering, brakes, windows, etc. I will finish it some day. Still needs paint and interior finished.<O

My second car is a 56 Ford 2 door Ranchwagon. Got it from my father-in-law many years ago, put a 5.0L and AOD in a few years ago after I inherited a Lincoln Towncar when my wife's grandfather died. Typical old man car, low miles, but the body was trashed. We use it to tour the wineries in our area.

My third truck is a 68 Ford F250 4X4 I am just trying to finish. I started this project 2 years ago and am very happy with it. It is a shortbed now, with a T-bird 429, C6, power 4 wheel disc brakes, power steering, married NP205, etc. I have always loved big trucks.<O

Used to own several lifted trucks when I lived in Northern AZ. We used to clime sand dunes and just trash those trucks. Everyone owned Chevy’s with the 400 small blocks, but I had a Dodge with a 440 and could just eat them up. That low-end torque rules when climbing sand.<O

Hope to meet some of you in the future.
