Dash Pad

I want to put a black dash pad in my truck but think I am missing some chrome.

Is there a piece under the windshield?

Include some pics of where your talking about, then I will know for sure. I can compare to mine. I still have the factory installed dash with only two tiny cracks in my dash.

Dash Pad

My factory installed dash pad has a thin chrome piece that runs from door to door at the leading edge of the dash right under the rubber seal of the windshield. There are also similar chrome pieces where the pad meets the dash at the front (closer to the driver). Hope this helps. Barry

Dash Pad

The trim is mounted using press-fit fasteners and can be removed. Only padded dash trucks had the trim. I pulled a bunch from my parts trucks, was amazed at how easy it was to remove intact!
