performance tune trans slippage

problem is when running a stock tune my trans shifts great no problems,but turn the power up lets say 40+ HP the trans slips really bad going into second gear.do any of you guys have any advice or know what could possibly be happening thanks

There could be something wrong with your transmission that is being amplified when you tune it. The only advice I could give is to go to a transmission shop. It may be just in need of a service.

Sounds to me like the trans is starting to slip. I noticed the same thing in mine, slow and easy engage to second gear, until I had it rebuilt. Chances are that in stock power setting, there's just not enough power to cause it to slip. But, you might call your chip maker too to see what they have to say. Perhaps they have it tuned to delay the TC lockup until a little later than stock. That would make it feel as if it weren't engaging in gear very quickly if the TC was staying unlocked.
