Check with Steve at Tousely Ford parts. They are a supporting vendor hear at FTE.

Do the V-Codes need to be off of a F250 Superduty or just a standard F250?
"Standard" F250???

Are the B-Codes also off of a F250?
They are found on 250/350's, yes.

I think I can do this mod myself. I lowered my S-10 a few years ago and installed new rear leaf springs to get it down in the dirt!!! I know the Excursion will be more work but I think I can accomplish it.
Yep, you should have no trouble.

Here's a little "helper" post. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...l#post11373753

I found a Pull-A-Part place here in Indy and they show having F250 and F250 Superduty's on there lot. What is the difference?

Thanks for the other info.

I dunno. Maybe the F250's without the SuperDuty designation are the older F250's.

Just a guess.

Is anyone replacing tie rod ends, steering stabilizer or other related components while in the "mood?" I'm just gauging what other mods/upgrades, if any, are being done at the same time as the spring swaps.)

I just ordered my Rancho 9000 shocks (see $500 rebate offer Rancho Suspension: RANCHO® SHOCK & AWE PROMOTION) and am now looking for V/B springs.

Ex spring swap.

New to site and have looked at all options for a spring swap.

Ok I have a 2004 Ex with 6.0.

Looking to swap also, only looking for safer Truck, DO NOT WANT IT LIFTED TO SKYor BAHA look

If I put the new 2C3Z-5310-HA springs up front, 07 SRW 1-ton springs on the rear w/stock Ex 2 in block, 30mm sway bar and Bilstiens listed in beginning of this thread?

I own all this already just waiting to see if it will work.

Will it ride high in front or rear?

Thanks, Heck Lure

my results

HeckLure,

I performed the following, and ended up with these results:
_________________________________________________
V and X are replacements for the front springs
V code rated for 5200#
X code rated for 6000# (used on trucks with a snow plow package)

B code used for replacing the rear springs. I could not find the weight rating.

I installed the X's up front and gained around 3" of lift
I installed modified B's in the rear and gained around 4" of lift. The B code spring pack is modified by adding the two shortest leaves from the original Excursion spring pack to the B code pack.
__________________________________________________ ________

I, like you, had no desire to lift the truck, however, if you replace the stock front springs that have a negative arch, with the either the V or X spring pack, the body of the truck will rise 2 to 3 inches. And the same thing will happen if the rear springs are upgraded. A higher riding truck is unavoidable if you follow the recommendations in this thread.

Good luck

Heck take a look at before & after of the mods in this thread. 4" blocks and 3" hanger/shackle kit. I needed a visual to get a better idea when I was considering the swap.

Any stiffer springs you use will raise it.

v and b codes are the mildest.

Will this swap affect the right height of my lifted 2005 EX 4x4?
My truck has a Fabtech 3.5 lift
Or will i have to go back to the original front spring shakles?

You probably won't get anything out of it, how does your Fabtech gain the lift? Does it use any of the stock springs?

Reason I was asking was because of that last part that I put in bold. If you still have stock springs and you just got lift from shackles and hangars, then you'll get more lift out of your rig with a V/B swap. The way you worded that last part has me curious, 3.5" lift is a LOT of shackle lift...
