Will probably have to replace the stock Generals in the spring. Can anyone recommend a tire that has good milage and runs quite that'll go on the stock 16" rims? I don't do heavy hauling....just a couple of dirtbikes all summer. Thanks.
I got a ton of miles out of the Goodyear AT/S on my '01 150. They wore nice and flat (but I'm a stickler for rotating) with good traction in the winter and were pretty quiet on the highway. I'd buy another set in a heart beat!!!

The stock BFG Long trail TA that came stock on my '03 have 60K now and I can probably get 5-10K more miles out of them before I have to replace them. Really surprised at the mileage that I've gotten so far, but I'll take it! As you can imagine, lots of highway miles, some boat towing but no heavy hauling to speak of.

I replaced my Generals with a set of Michelins. I got a great deal at Sam's Club and sold the Generals myself. First thing I noticed was a great improvement in the ride.
Check out ProComp. They make a great looking AT tire. If you don't mind ordering them off the internet, you can get a deal where you buy 3 and get 1 free. I think they are comparable to the BFG ATs.
Go to Tirerack.com and look at the reader ratings for the tires you might be interested in. They have a summary comparison of all tires in each class or type.
I went with the Bridgestone Dueler Revos based on tirerack ratings and comments here. I have been very satisfied so far.
Note the the non-Revo Bridgestones were lower rated on tirerack.
I put 55K miles on those tires on my last truck (Dodge weighing in at 7,900 lbs). Ride, traction, and noise levels are great. You actually get what you pay for with that tire.
I replaced my Long Trails with another set of the same after 60k miles. The Ford dealer actually was the cheapest source for them. They beat Discount Tire by over $50.00.
