235/85's on my dually. Just put new Cooper Discover ATR's on in March, traction is good, been running them on my other pickups for a long time and they wear good.
Had an experience over the weekend trying to help a guy out w/a dually tire. Walmart (only place open on a saturday night) wasn't going to to change it because "dually trucks are too heavy, and it was too big" ....yet they had new ones on the rack???
The only thing i can think of as the special tool is because the tires on the rear some times stick on there and are difficult to remove off the hub.So the special tool would be a BFH big hammer.
they said some bull**** about it being a square tool to seperate the two wheels on some duallys. Didnt seem to know **** but they do have the best deal on tires right now i can find.
No special tools needed. Sounds like there may have been some 'special tools' working at the garage!
Exactly what he said!!!! LOL!
I have been taking off and putting dual wheels on these Ford trucks for some time now.. More then I care too, LOL! Never needed a special tool, newer or older!
Now I did have a 70's F-350 dually that had reverse threads on one of the axles.. Always screwed me up, but thats turning the wrench the other way to get it off, LOL!
