See, I KNEW that'd get attention! My name is Tom, I reside about 20 miles north of Joplin Missouri, and have been lookin' at Ford Trucks from the bottomside since the '70s, ever since Charles Bronson Kicked the tailgate down on one and blew away the bad guys. I have two, now... one I love and one, well, not so much My fav is a '02 F350 crew cab dually with a 7.3 Diesel, all white, lookin' for the next load to haul. My Chagrine is an 88 E150 with a 5.8L windsor/C6 conversion van. I seem to be replacing it one piece at a time. Most recently I was attempting to replace the EGR TUBE and busted the threads off the EGR VALVE. This is common with this vehicle, and many times it has left ME feeling like a mechanical wimp... unable to figure out WTH has gone wrong NOW lol... It is still sitting there, hood up, awaiting a new EGR valve, and I may just buy one for it.... maybe. SO, I missed this BBQ.... when's the next one? God bless Tom
Slmann is putting together a get together in Waynesville on the 30th. See the thread titled "Waynesville". Happy Jack is putting together a multi state gtg in Kansas City on October 7th, and one somewhere south of that the following weekend. You can check the "multi state gtg" thread here, and in the Kansas chapter as well.
Thanks for the welcome. I had a chance to go to osage beach this week and passed on it to work around here! as for waynesville and KC those are not too far away either!
look forward to meetin' up!
Hello, I just joined about 2 weeks ago and I'm still going through the threads trying to catch up on some valuable knowledge. I just bought a '94 F-350 7.3L IDI Crew Cab Dually w/77,000 on the clock. This is my 3rd truck. My first was a '76 K5 Blazer 4X4 and my 2nd was '86 F-250 XLT Lariat Ext. Cab w/156,000. I am from St.Louis but to be exact close to Shrewsbury and Maplewood. I hope to learn alot from all of you and thanks for all the info.
Welcome Rocketattack, uh, I don't want to burst your bubble but, don't expect any pearls of wisdom from our chapter leader slmann, we're still trying to figure him out. He'll just defer any questions to those of us that are more knowledgable.
