Hi, just joined the MO chapter here. Been in FTE since 07/05. I drive a '97 Ranger that will be my project (MORE POWER!) once I decide how to set things up. I live in New London, just south of Hannibal, MO.
Took a major step in the project today when my truck DIED on the way home from work! Now I don't have any choice in upgrading the motor/tranny! The old one is kaput! I already have gotten some good advice about possibilities for this project and will be asking for more! Watch for my questions!
What's up guys? Thanks for having me. I hope to be able to help any of ya'll, especially the PSD guys! How does that saying go....Have truck and tools will travel.
Looks like I'm one of the few females of the group. I'm from the St. Louis area (not to far from the airport for those in STL). I just acquired a 2003 Ranger Supercab 4x4. After my husband bought a Mustang in january we had to invest in another SUV or truck so he had another option for bad weather driving (he works in Alton, IL). We almost bought a 97 F150 Lariat with lots of miles for about $3K less than the Ranger but something about it just didn't sit right with me (I still haven't figured it out). So we went with the ranger which instead of being his backup vehicle is going to be my daily driver and eventually toy. It's not perfect but for the price we did good. So here I am on FTE checking out some of my options for making it a little more agressive both in terms of 4x4 looks and performance.
